All my life, I always owned tube televisions. Some were rather large screens up to 32 inches and they were pretty nice. Until projection televisions came out, I was happy with my old tube TV's. I got my first one several years ago, a 64 inch widescreen. Projection televisions like that were rather pricey at the time, but I wanted one really badly, because the screens were so nice and the pictures were way better than my old TV's. Having such a large widescreen television was amazing, watching movies on it was a true movie theater experience. I started getting all the cable channels that were HD, high definition, and the picture really wowed me! Then I bought an HD DVD player and was thrilled with how movies looked on the projection televisions. I'm so happy with projection televisions, I'd buy another one if this one conked out. I know that LCD HDTV's have a great picture, but I don't think it's any better than projection televisions. I own both, and I'm equally impressed with the picture on both.
