garmin gps

I would love to be able to say that I'm the technical minded one in our family, but when it comes to anything electronic, I leave the entire decision making up to my husband, or at least I did until recently. My husband and I have a Garmin GPS that we use in our car when we travel, or I've been known to use it when I'm going to a new city to shop or to visit a museum or point of interest. I know how to tap in the information as to where I want the Garmin GPS to take me, but that's pretty much about it.

Several months ago, my husband mentioned that he wanted a Garmin GPS for the motorcycle that he'd ordered. I don't think I'll ever forget the look on his face when I said that he could just take the Garmin GPS out of the car and use it when he traveled. He informed me quickly that there was a difference between a Garmin GPS for the car, and the Garmin GPS that he needed for his bike. I had no idea of this, but I found it to be a little odd that the one GPS wouldn't work in both places. I decided when my husband wasn't around to do a little research and see if I could find out if he really needed a Garmin GPS for the motorcycle, and after talking to my brother and reading online, I guess there really is a difference. Don’t ask me to explain it, because it's all technical to me, but it's something about the maps being different on the Garmin GPS for motorcycles and it including off-road areas that aren't included on regular Garmin GPS for automobiles. It made sense to me; even though I didn't tell my husband that, so I decided this new GPS would make a great Christmas present for my husband this year. I found Garmin zumo 550 Motorcycle Navigator that I ordered for him at Love's Electronics whose online store can be found by visiting www.loveselectronics.com. Once it arrived, I had a peek into the box. Since I really didn't know what I was looking at, I decided to wrap it up and put it under the tree, where it now sits awaiting Christmas morning. I hope my husband will like it, and that I ordered the one that he wanted. One thing is for sure, he's going to be very surprised to find the Garmin GPS under the tree come Christmas morning.
