canon digital camera, garmin gpsI’m sitting on my computer blankly staring at the screen when my phone rings. It’s an unrecognized number. Answering, the familiar voice of a friend who just got a new number comes over the line. He is really excited for a couple reasons. The first is he found the perfect new car to replace his old one that kicked the bucket. The second is he just got the ingenious idea to take this new cross car cross country in a month long road trip to Mount Rushmore. He asks if I’m in. Silent for a second, my answer is not what he is looking for.

I tell him I can’t take work off for that long. He tries to sell me on the adventure. All the pictures we could collect with a Canon digital camera. As tempting as it sounds to see the country behind the direction of a Garmin GPS, it doesn’t seem fiscally responsible. Man, I sound old just saying that. My Canon digital camera has been aching for some new photos. I suggest taking a shorter maybe week long trip. He gives me an, awww man but agrees its better then nothing.
